Saving a dog keeps a running injury or absence
Saving a dog without the fields for injury and days out no longer ends an injury or absence that was running.
A page per dog with what the whole kennel needs to know: who can run in lead, who is in heat, who is out for a few days and how many kilometres each dog has this season.
Season figures per dog. Runs and kilometres this season, and when the dog last ran. The dog list sorts on them, so you see at a glance who has been sitting too long. Home shows who needs a run.
Heats, predicted. Log a heat on a female and the app counts the days. Until a dog has two heats of her own, the next one is predicted from the cycle your kennel sets. When you build a lineup, a male next to a female in heat gets a warning.
Injuries and days out. A dog that is injured or out keeps the dates and the reason, with the history on its own tab. The list shows who is out today, and an unavailable dog is skipped when you copy a lineup.
Notes the kennel shares. Write a note on a dog and pin it. A pinned note sits at the top of the dog page and as a badge in the list, so a handler who is new to the dog reads it before hooking up.
Puppies, retired and deceased dogs. A puppy has a last day as a puppy and becomes an adult overnight. Retired and deceased dogs keep their history and stay out of the lists unless you ask for them.
Updates to this part
Saving a dog without the fields for injury and days out no longer ends an injury or absence that was running.
What everyone should know about a dog sits at the top of the dog page and as a badge in the dog list. Pin, edit and remove a note from its menu.
Write a note, remove it with Undo, see it live. The old single notes field is gone and existing notes were moved over.
A puppy can have a last day and becomes an adult overnight.
A dog is out for a number of days, not weeks. Out and injured are periods with a history on their own tab. Dogs that can run in lead get the word Lead.
