The phone app for iPhone and Android
The phone app for iOS and Android has the same screens as the web app, and a few things only a real app can do.
- The screens live in the app itself, so it starts without reception.
- A GPS track keeps recording with the screen off and the app in the background.
- New screens arrive without the App Store. After an update of the web app, the phone downloads them in the background and uses them from the next start, never during tracking. At the bottom of Settings you see which version the app runs.
- In the iPhone app you swipe from the left edge to go back to the previous page within a part of the app, as in any app. Not from the top page of a part (Home, Trainings, Routes, Dogs, Tasks), and not while a window, a message, the menu or the tracker is open.
